NATIONAL YOUTH DANCE FESTIVALThere are more photographs relating to individual performances at the Peacock Theatre and at the Purcell Room, CLICK on the links above.2500 audience members at the Peacock Theatre and Purcell Room saw what a powerful force youth dance can be and members of the public strolling around the Southbank Centre could not avoid the spectacular dance pieces taking place around them. Whether they stumbled upon a large scale workshop in the Ballroom, a piece of site specific work in the Powder Room or the spontaneous dance piece that took place in a fountain the festival demonstrated the breadth of youth dance practice and the quality of work that is being produced by young people, indeed the future of dance.Photographs taken by Brian Slater and DVD’s by finca films of the performances can be purchased from early September from YOUTH DANCE ENGLAND:YOUTH DANCE ENGLAND.Images from the performance at the Peacock Theatre, London on the 13th July 2008 by Arvon Wellenfinca films (widescreen)• educational video production
