The Little Downham Heritage Film Project is about drawing together the generations by focusing on local history to create a short film about the village past and present. A group of local young people are helping to make the film using information and resources from the Little Downham Archive Group. The project is funded by the European Union Agricultural Guidance & Guarantees Fund, DEFRA & ADeC.

Thanks to the film crew:

Ben, Sarah, Lydia, Josh, Zack, James

The introduction to the film project consisted of a two day workshop where the group were able to familiarise themeselves with the cameras and the audio equipment.

LITTLE DOWNHAM COMMUNITY ORCHARD

Keith Norton (third from the left) at the small but very significant ceremony on June 17th 2006 that brought together villagers and representatives of funding bodies who had worked together to establish the orchard. Many old and often endangered varieties of apple have been planted in order to preserve them for future generations.

Part of our brief is to look at the history of the village but we are also involved with documenting events as they are happening in the village today.

THE PYMORE SHOW June 2006

director

Our director for the day, Lydia.

Our aim was to interview a broad spectrum of people at the show in order to gain some idea of the industry and leisure activities of the area, which includes Pymore and Little Downham.

In an area mainly dedicated to agriculture, traditional crafts are fairly rare but some important examples were represented.
